About Laura Segall

Laura Segall, principal and founder of ByDesign Coaching & Training is resourceful, driven and passionate about working with each client’s innate strengths and values to unlock potential and opportunity … and have some fun along the way! Having served as coach, mentor and trainer for many individuals, teams and organizations over the past 30+ years, she is energized and excited to facilitate meaningful growth and development that improves the trajectory for individuals and organizations.

For the past several years she served as Chief Marketing Officer for a West Coast start-up, Achieve TMS and TMS Center of Alaska, now a part of Greenbrook TMS NeuroHealth Centers. She was previously Regional Director of Marketing for Four Seasons Residence Clubs and Director of Marketing at California State University San Marcos. She has held sales and marketing management positions with Mazda Motors of America, Bridgestone Tires, Burton Snowboards, W.L. Gore & Associates (Gore-Tex), American Suzuki Motor Corporation and D.A.R.E. America.

She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Occidental College in Los Angeles and M.A. in Business Communication from the University of Illinois. She taught undergraduate level courses at the University of Illinois and the University of Minnesota and has earned CPC (Certified Professional Coach), ELI-MP (Energy Leadership Index - Master Practitioner) and CLDS (COR.E Leadership Dynamics Specialist) designations from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). She has earned ACC designation from ICF and is an active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She engages in a wide range of community service programs through active membership in Rotary and currently serves as a coach for our U.S. Special Forces transitioning to civilian life via The Honor Foundation. In 2022 ByDesign Coaching & Training received “Best in Business” award for coaching services in Carlsbad, CA.
